How it works

We understand purchasing meat in bulk may be confusing, so allow us to make is easier.

When buying straight from the rancher, beef is sold based off of hanging weight. Hanging weight is the total weight of meat, bone and fat before the butcher breaks it down into individual cuts of meat.  All you have to do is tell us how much (quarter, half, whole) that you want, and we can take it from there.

Calculating how much you're getting:

You can expect a packaged weight yield of about 60-65% off of the hanging weight. For example: If the hanging weight is 800 pounds, the packaged weight will be between 480-525 pounds. If you're considering buying a quarter or a half, the amount you would get would be 25% and 50%  respectively of the total packaged weight.
